The Crane illumination was created to celebrate 40 years of artists working in their Hunters Point Shipyard studios with a spectacular crane illumination event with plans to transform this teaser event into a longer term installation.
The live outdoor viewing area will come alive with music and sounds inspired by the history of the Shipyard, blending live sound and light performances with the ambient echoes of this iconic San Francisco landmark. As the crane lights up the night sky, artists will host illumination parties in their studios, offering prime views and a chance to experience the creative energy of the Shipyard community firsthand.
